YOUR FIRST 100 DAYS AS A FILMMAKER
As filmmaker we tend to share our works and most certainly a should-be character of a filmmaker, to share the works of others. In this industry it is hard to get through by your own, I believe it is so for any industry there is.
Filmmakers should always make a habit of reading and watching tutorials, films and analyzing other filmmakers work to develop their skills. I have made a habit of myself to follow/subscribe to different filmmaking sites to get regular updates of gear, useful information or knowledge and other film related stuff. Today, I share with you a very interesting post I read from Raindance.org. The post is written by famous Elliot Grove, the man behind the famous Raindance Film Festivals. I went through some of his articles and he sure does give very useful and interesting information and knowledge in his site. I would advise all filmmakers to visit his site and gain themselves some useful knowledge.
Now, back to the post. Your First 100 Days as Filmmaker. Now filmmakers either learn the art through filmschool or through self training. Some very famous directors such as Christopher Nolan never went to filmschool but write and direct really good films in the industry. So, Elliot Grove gives us the path towards filmmaking without the need of going to filmschool, and yes it is possible. He gives us a guideline of 100 days a person should follow to become a filmmaker. Is the journey through these 100 days easy? Surely not I would say, for any art requires great effort and devotion but all is of value for the fruits of bitter pain is fruitful gain.
So without spoiling the fun, I would advice use to click the link so you can read for yourself what it takes to become a filmmaker in 100 days. Mind you commitment is the first key. Adios. (Link: http://www.raindance.org/your-first-100-days-as-a-filmmaker/)
