FROM DREAMS TO ACCOMPLISHMENT: THE STORY OF THE UNDERWATER REALM

Hello again, dear reader who has taken his/her time to read this 'lovely' blog of mine. Today I'm going to share with a story that is so inspiring for all those who try hard out there in whatever field they are to achieve the best in what they do.

Well, I'm going to base this post on the film making side of stuff, but this inspiration applies to whatever field you're in. Recently I've been watching a lot of short films to increase my film knowledge, gain new ideas and techniques and also seek inspiration but what caught my eye the most was the Behind the scenes video for an independent film company behind a 5-part mini short film series 'The Underwater Realm'. I won't bore you with writing down the story because I wouldn't be able explain it as good as the ones who have faced the ups and downs of the making process. In short these independent film makers have shown that with a dream and strong determination everything can be accomplished. What I loved about them is their level of modesty; they not only attribute the project to the team but to every other person who made the miracle happen. The story takes us through our normal day hardships and how friends help us endure these moments, how we can't do everything by our own, how sleepless night can bring about fruitful ends and how struggle is the key to success.

We as independent, beginner, no-budget/low budget film makers always find a reason as to why we give up or fail. But these people go against all odds be it budget or technicalities to achieve an independent project which far exceeds even some of Hollywood's great budget films. Its not about the money or equipment it is about determination and the dream to turn even the simplest of ideas into reality. How to think outside the box through the process and how to achieve a lot with the little we have. These lovely people are now working on a feature film pertained with the same project which proves great achievement in the cinema world. 'The Underwater Realm' inspires us through all these hardships and achievements. I urge you to take a peak at this lovely and inspiring journey. The journey of how film makers, friends, a team and charitable people make a dream come true.

Funded at the beginning of 2012 by over 1000 Kickstarter backers, The Underwater Realm is arguably the most ambitious independent film project ever attempted. This documentary explores how a team of 200 volunteers completed 5 short films set under our oceans on less than half the coffee budget of the Hobbit.
